100 UN member states set the Crimean referendum invalid .
The UN General Assembly passed a resolution that the referendum is invalid Crimea and the Ukraine annexation by Russia illegally . This non-binding resolution issued after the vote on Thursday, March 27, 2014 .
Reuters reported , from 193 member states of the UN General Assembly , 100 of whom declared the referendum invalid , 11 against , and 58 abstentions . Countries that oppose them are Belarus , Bolivia , Cuba , North Korea , Nicaragua , Sudan , Syria , Venezuela and Zimbabwe . Western diplomats call these states " dirty dozens . "
Countries such as Israel , Iran , Serbia and the former Soviet Union countries in Central Asia such as Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan declared abstained because not present during the vote . China is in line with Russia on several occasions choose to abstain .
In a resolution saying that " the referendum is invalid , and can not be used as the basis of a change in the status of Autonomous Republic of Crimea or Sevastopol City " . The resolution does not mention the name " Russia " was also urged countries not to recognize the change in the status of Crimea .

" This is a moral victory for Russian diplomacy . Fact nearly half the members of the United Nations refused to support this resolution , for me , a great relief , " said Churkin .
